Home charging, explained
Most EV owners do the vast majority of their charging at home overnight. A standard wall socket works, but it is slow. A dedicated home charger fills the battery several times faster and is what most people choose when they want to wake up to a full car every morning.
Public DC fast chargers are the fastest option and are what you would use on a road trip, but they cost more per kilowatt-hour than home electricity. For everyday use, home charging is both the cheapest and the most convenient.
